The anticipated rematch between David Haye and Tony Bellew has not been officially announced yet but both fighters have agreed to the terms.
Haye broke the news first on Twitter. A while after Bellew replied and wrote: “I’ll see you soon enough”.
‘The Haymaker’ has given his fans an update from sunny Turkey as he is getting ready to the start of his training camp.
“Just getting myself in shape for the start of training camp October 1st. Looking forward to the big rematch that everyone wants. Haye-Bellew 2, let’s do this,” said Haye.
The Mail first reported that the fight would happen on December 17th at The O2 arena in London. But according to a report by The Sun, the fight has a new date.
Traditionally big boxing fights take place on Saturday’s but The Sun’s Wally Downes Jr writes that Haye-Bellew 2 will happen on December 10th which is a Sunday.
The animosity between the two is well documented, especially Bellew has been very vocal about Haye during interviews.
“We haven’t met since the fight and I don’t think we’re going to meet. He said certain things, that were wrong and disgusting. David’s not my kind of person, I respect him as an athlete but I don’t have to like the guy. He’s an amazing fighter with a great resume but when it comes to being a person, he’s forgot himself and is a bit of an a******,” said the Liverpudlian in an interview with Betsafe.
“We will never be friends,” he summarised.
