Deontay Wilder got word of Anthony Joshua’s jabbing comments and the WBC World heavyweight champion responded by lashing out at Joshua in a recent interview with fighthype.com.
đ¤ˇđżââď¸ Bro WTF @anthonyfjoshua?
You Going To Soon Be Ramming Your jab Down My Throat!? đ TBH That donât sound too good…. pic.twitter.com/n1PYuThvCf— Deontay Wilder (@BronzeBomber) October 10, 2017
In the interview with fighthype, Wilder slams one of Joshua’s titles wins and claims that the current number one heavyweight boxer is a coward.
âHe donât say heâs the best, he donât even know if heâs the best or not but heâs a champion. They bought that first belt from Charles Martin for sure,” said Wilder.
Joshua fought Charles Martin for the IBF title back in 2016 and won the belt via knockout.
The American continued his rant and stated that the heavyweight division is scared of him.
âYouâre a champion, Iâm a champion. The people say you the best, they speak for you. Youâre a coward, you canât speak for yourself. I speak for myself and I say Iâm the best. So letâs see whoâs the best.
âThey were already terrified of me, and when I say âtheyâ, I mean all the top guys in the heavyweight division. Iâm not saying theyâre all scared of me, I know some of them want to fight me and really feel they can beat me but I do put fear in these fightersâ hearts and they should have fear because Iâm coming in to try and really hurt you to the point where you donât even have a life to live,” told Wilder.
Wilder is defending his WBC belt on November 4th against Bermane Stirverne at the Barclays Center in New York.
