So WBC world heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder came face to face with his March 3rd opponent, Luis ‘King Kong’ Ortiz.
This was the first time they faced off since the announcement of their rescheduled showdown became official.
“I’m taking Anthony Joshua trash out, Luis Ortiz was his mandatory. Then he got popped for the drug,” Wilder began.
“The WBA brought him out but the WBC brought him back in, where that is kind of crazy.”
You know what they say… what goes around comes around. Luis Ortiz, I’m blessing you with this opportunity once again but you still need to suffer the consequences of your actions. I WILL teach you a lesson on March 3rd. #BombZquad#WilderOrtiz#WhatGoesAroundComesAroundpic.twitter.com/3mmBPkd9Sv

“But I’m glad to take out Anthony Joshua’s trash, which I’m going to do so well.”
“I’m going to be the best guy the man has ever seen.”
“Then after that, it’s me and him.”
“Right now he ain’t decided where he wants to fight. If he wants to fight in America or the UK. But Deontay Wilder I don’t care where I fight.”
“Either it is in America or the UK, but you got to get your mind right Anthony Joshua because I’m coming to take all the belts I promise you,” Deontay Wilder told ES News.

Furthermore, Wilder discussed Luis Ortiz in a separate interview with FightHype.com.
“Let’s make this fight happen. I don’t want anything to stop this fight from happening. Hopefully, he doesn’t think about doing it (doping) a third time.
“I hope he doesn’t think three times is the charm.”
“If he do, I want everyone in Miami to go and whip his a**. If he fails this one.”
“Tickets are going great, hotels are selling out. Especially after the fight what I did to Stiverne, this makes it, even more, better and this is why I choose him again,” Wilder added.

“Here we are with Ortiz, it is a big event for him, a blessing for him. This is his chance to be the first Cuban heavyweight champion of the world.”
“Which is not going to happen. I’m going to break his dreams. There is going to be no fighter to be the first anything against Deontay Wilder;” the WBC heavyweight champion concluded.
