Anthony Joshua is believed to be close to confirming a unification showdown with WBO world heavyweight champ, Joseph Parker on March 31st at The Principality Stadium.
On the other hand, WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is believed to be in negotiations to reschedule a title defence against Cuban slickster, Luis ‘King Kong’ Ortiz.
The original date for that clash fell through in 2017 after Ortiz tested positive for a prohibited substance.

However, it was retrospectively decided that Ortiz had not done anything wrong and the reason for the failed test was revealed to be nothing other than blood pressure medication by the WBC.
However, the marquee match-up right now for ‘AJ’ would be ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Wilder.
They are clearly the two standout combatants in the heavyweight domain who can punch as hard as they respectively do.
Wilder and Joshua were believed to be at loggerheads over the potential split for a unification showdown.
‘The Bronze Bomber’ however, has shared that he would have no problems travelling to the unified IBO, IBF and WBA (Super) world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua’s backyard.
Wilder says he is prepared to travel to the U.K to deliver the showdown.
“If we have to go to England then so be it,” Wilder began.

“I’m not worried about travelling. I’ve travelled many times in the career, especially as a professional.”
I’m not worried about travelling, but is he worried about travelling? He’s never travelled and he doesn’t plan on travelling,” Wilder said to Yahoo Sports.
“Like I tell people, my title says ‘heavyweight champion of the world.”
“I’m a travelling fighter, I’m a travelling warrior, I’m a travelling king.”
“I don’t have to sit inside my kingdom all the time.”
I can go outside my kingdom and go visit someone and take over their kingdom – that’s why I said I declare war.”
“I don’t think the business side will be that difficult.”
“I really don’t…. especially after I beat Luis Ortiz and knock him out and [Joshua] do what he’s going to do.”
“I don’t think it’s going to be that hard because people are going to demand it.”

“The people don’t want to hear about all of this other stuff. They don’t want to hear about splits. They don’t want to hear about where it’s going to be.”
“So many people are excited about it, they just want to see where it’s going to be so they can be there,” Wilder concluded.
