Deontay Wilder does not envisage Joseph Parker being a walk in the park for Anthony Joshua in his next fight.
The undefeated WBC world heavyweight champion whose record currently stands at a menacing 39-0, with all but one of those victories coming by way of knockout has put forth his assertion that Parker definitely has a chance.
“I give Parker a hell of a chance,” Wilder told BoxingScene.com.

“Parker, he’s got good footwork. He likes to move. I was telling him, because I know Parker, too.”
Wilder shared he stays in contact with Parker and has sent messages back and forth.
“Most of us guys talk and we’ll send messages back and forth.”
Furthermore, Wilder shared his point of view that Parker will have to be an effective aggressor and take it to Joshua with a high volume of punches.
“Basically, as long as he keeps with his head movement and keeps throwing punches in there.”
“He’s gonna definitely have a great chance of winning.”
Look closely. Sometimes all you need to know is right before your very eyes. You may not see it yet, but the message is clear…. I will be the #UNDISPUTED Heavyweight Champion Of The World when it’s all said and done. But first things first. #WilderOrtiz#March3rd#BombZquadpic.twitter.com/xWEmSXLehG

But Wilder did share his point of view, in his home nation of the UK ‘AJ’ is seen as somewhat of a national treasure even at this early stage of his career. Wilder envisages that if the fight comes down to the scorecards, Parker will not get a fair shake.
“But I don’t feel that if it goes to the scorecards that they’re gonna give him that.”
“He’s gonna have to knock Anthony Joshua out.”
He’s gonna have to. I don’t see them giving him that decision.”
“Of course I don’t want it to happen,” Wilder said.
“Parker, I’m sorry, brother!
“But he’s definitely gonna have to knock him out to get that victory.”
Wilder once again concluded his statements by firing another ominous warning to Joshua, ahead of their collision course unification showdown.
Take what you want from this picture, but I rather show you than tell you.

Wilder says that if Parker is unsuccessful against Joshua, he will avenge the loss ‘easy’.
“If he doesn’t, I’ll avenge [it for] him easy.”
“I can’t wait.”
“You’re looking at the baddest man on the planet;” Wilder concluded.
