British heavyweight veteran, Derek Chisora, has noticed something up close with Jake Paul and Tommy Fury, which could he things might make the difference when the pair fight next month.
‘Del Boy’ has become more involved with Saudi Arabia in recent weeks, taking up a role as a promoter for the fights that Prince Khalid puts on.
The 39-year-old has even labelled himself as the ‘face of boxing in Saudi Arabia’ after unveiling a new partnership with ‘Skill Challenge’ – a sports and entertainment agency in the Middle Eastern Kingdom.
As a result, Chisora was in the ring alongside Jake Paul and Tommy Fury for their face-off last weekend, ahead of their clash next month.
In an interview with iFL TV, Chisora said that Jake has no fear, whereas Tommy looked worried.
“Jake Paul, I was with him today, he hasn’t got that fear factor. He hasn’t got that worried factor, he doesn’t care. When I was with Tommy [Fury], Tommy was in great shape, but I can tell, in his eyes alone, that he has got that worried factor. Remember, he comes from a boxing family, the Gypsy travelling family, fighting for pride.
Now he is fighting a suburban American boy, who became big on YouTube by playing video games and he is fighting a Gypsy kid, a traveller kid in Saudi. You can imagine the nerves that he has got because he is fighting someone who doesn’t really care. So, it must be worrying for him.”
Chisora told Tommy’s half-brother and old foe, Tyson Fury, that he’s predicting a Paul KO.
“I told him [Tyson] that his brother is going to get knocked out.”
‘The Problem Child’ and Fury will square off for real on Sunday February 26th in Saudi Arabia with an undercard, featuring Ilunga Makabu vs Badou Jack for the WBC cruiserweight world title, set to be announced.
