Dillian Whyte looked focused and prepared as he weighed in for his comeback bout with undefeated American, Jermaine Franklin.
The pair graced the stage in England and USA football tops respectively, hyping up their own transnational battle which will take place after their countries face off tonight in the World Cup group stages.
Whyte tipped the scales at 251lb – 2 pounds lighter than he weighed for his unsuccessful attempt to dethrone Tyson Fury at Wembley in April. He presented a strong frame, showing off the benefits of a camp with renowned trainer, Buddy McGirt.

Franklin will enter the ring the heavier man at 257lb – 20 pounds lighter than his last outing in May against Rodney Moore. He boasts 14 knockouts from 21 victories, however there’s no question that the Brixton brawler is the toughest test of his career.
As they came head to head, Whyte’s words to his opponent were meet with steely silence. The next time they meet, the first bell will ring on a bout that’s of huge significance to both men.

A loss for Whyte at this stage in his career leaves him without a lot of questions to answer, and a second challenge at a world title would be hard to justify for some time.
As for Franklin, a life-changing pay day awaits with a victory. Eddie Hearn has said to the American heavyweight that he’ll be offered a fight with Anthony Joshua.
The action all goes down this Saturday on DAZN, with a tasty heavyweight British title fight in Fabio Wardley versus Nathan Gorman providing the chief support.
