A Dillian Whyte fight week is never dull – especially when the big man from Brixton taps into his old persona, Dillian the Villain.
He did just that as things got heated with Jermaine Franklin’s trainer, Jesse Addison. Addison said Whyte was a ‘wounded lion’ who had been knocked out twice, and would be picked off by the ‘healthy lions’ – aka, Franklin. He went on to request Buddy McGirt, Whyte’s new trainer, speak because Whyte was ‘mumbling.’
‘The Bodysnatcher’ didn’t take it kindly.

“You stupid f**king bozo, relax man.”
“Bro, just stop talking rubbish. You better stop talking before you get smacked, man. I will smack the sh*t out of an old motherf**ker, I don’t give a f**k. I don’t give a f**k if you’re a pensioner, I will smack the sh*t out of you if you keep talking.”
“Shut the f**k up. Dumb f**k.”
Things didn’t end there. In a bizarre turn of events, Whyte had a back and forth, and push and shove, with Dmitry Salita at the ceremonial face off. Salita, a former fighter himself, is the promoter of Franklin as well as Otto Wallin – the man who had a bout with Whyte pencilled in before the British fighter pulled out from injury.

Whyte tried to get towards Franklin’s team but was held back by his own as well as the security present.
The drama represents a boiling over of tensions before a huge fight for both men. Whyte must return to winning ways following a knockout loss to Tyson Fury in April, and, although undefeated, he’ll go into the fight favourite – making a loss even worse.
Franklin on the other hand has had the ultimate heavyweight carrot dangled in front of him. Eddie Hearn has said that he will get a fight with Anthony Joshua – plus a huge payday – should he be victorious.
It all goes down this weekend at Wembley Arena, broadcast live on DAZN.
