Dillian Whyte got back to winning ways this past weekend and soon started to respond to callouts from Joe Joyce.
Whyet has had almost a year out while he protested his innocence following a failed drugs test just ahead of his ill-fated rematch with Anthony Joshua back in August.
He has successfully done that and has been cleared after it was shown a contaminated supplement is what led to his failed test.
His first fight back this weekend came against Romanian Christian Hammer. Whyte dominated early and Hammer was pulled out in the fourth round. Speaking to Boxing Social after the fight he was asked about his next moves.
“I don’t know what’s next, I just want to fight. Let’s see what happens. I want to go home, take it easy and see what’s what. I don’t know and don’t care where the fight is, wherever I can be busy, then I will go there. I just want to fight, I’m running out of time, I’m not getting any younger, your boy is getting on.
He was then asked about the callout from Joyce.
“I will fight anyone. If it makes sense, I don’t care. I’m not going to wait for no one. I’ve never turned a fight down. Whoever want it can get it. The matter is still the same. I need to go see my kids, my dogs, I need to take care of somethings at home. If I can get three weeks or a month at home I’ll be good.”
