Dillian Whyte is looking to become a serious contender in the heavyweight division after this weekend.
‘The Body Snatcher’ is ranked number one by the WBC and is on verge of a very potential title shot against Deontay Wilder but first he has to get past Lucas Browne at the O2 in London.

There has been talk about Whyte possibly fighting Antony Joshua in a rematch since both fighters have expressed interest in fighting once again, but Whyte has laid out the immediate plan after Browne.
“I always wanna face Joshua. I always want to face Joshua but Wilder is the one we want because I’m his mandatory and it’s a fight that’s not necessarily easier but he’s a fighter that’s got a lot of holes in his game,” Whyte told Boxing Social.
But that doesn’t mean Whyte is forgetting about Joshua.
“Joshua…we’ll always down for the fight. I think even if we’re 60 years old and retire from boxing and there’s a chance that we can come back and face each other I think we would both say ‘you know what, we’re old as sh*t but let’s go back and give it a go again,” joked Whyte.
Whyte is the favourite in terms of pure boxing skill but what Browne brings to the table is a powerful undefeated knockout filled record of 25 wins, 22 KO’s.
“I have to knock a person out. To do that, their brain has to hit on the side of their head. As long as I can land a power punch on him for ten seconds for the referee to count to ten – that’s all I need to do. I’ve got 45 minutes to lay one punch. It’s quite easy to knock someone out,” said Browne to Boxing Social when asked about knocking out Whyte.
The WBC Silver heavyweight champion’s answer to Browne’s comments was simple.
“I’m very confident I can knock him out. Very, very confident I’m going to knock him out. I don’t care, the violence is going come out. Whenever I get into the ring I’m looking to beat some ass,” said Whyte.
