The bitter build-up boiled over at today’s press conference for the crossover bout between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis.
The two Americans were set to double main event with KSI and Tommy Fury on the latest Misfits card this Saturday in January, a DAZN pay-per-view show that’s expected to be one of the best performing of its kind.
In the lead-up to fight week, Danis has relentlessly trolled Paul and his partner, Nina Agdal, and has been served with a restraining order for doing so.
Questions on if the MMA man would show up were answered the week when he touched down in the UK, but whether or not the pair make it to the ring is still up in the air after ugly scenes just days out.
Following a shouty press conference, the two men moved to go face to face. Paul threw an empty plastic bottle Danis’ way, and he responded by striking Paul in the face with the hand that was holding his microphone.

The extent of damage is unclear as of writing, but Danis posted a picture on social media of blood on the floor.

The event is sanctioned by the Professional Boxing Association. The organisation would be expected to step in and cancel the bout should Paul be cut, although the rules and whether or not the bout is technically an exhibition are unclear. There could also be a question of police involvement given the nature of the assault.
Despite the likely increase in interest from the incident, crossover boxing has not been painted in a good light after already struggling to win over plenty of traditionalists.
