Boxing legend and multiple time world champion Roberto Duran has made it clear that he’s not a fan of Conor McGregor.
According to boxingscene.com, Duran said that the only way McGregor can win is by breaking Floyd Mayweather’s legs.
“Mayweather beats the guy, it will be a spectacle. If McGregor is serious he will break both arms and legs of Mayweather. Mayweather will beat him … McGregor is a clown,” said the former multi-weight champion.
There has been a rather intense back and forth argument about if this mega fight good or bad for boxing. Duran said it’s actually bad for MMA since it’s the UFC’s megastar taking on a veteran of the sport of boxing.
“[The fight] will not hurt boxing, but it will hurt mixed martial arts because you’re talking about a good world champion [in McGregor], and if that guy loses against Mayweather it should be for something [important],” told Duran.
