Eddie Hearn has put together his ultimate card of fights between promoters – and has said he wouldn’t mind stepping in the ring against Jake Paul.
In a list that included nearly all major promoters across combat sport, Hearn actually matched Paul against UFC boss Dana White, but admitted the payday of fighting Paul would be hard to turn down.
Matchroom’s head honcho gave the tongue in cheek list whilst speaking to DAZN.
“It’s gotta be the two oldest first – Bob Arum vs Don King. Two 90-year-olds, that’s a great fight.
Floyd Mayweather would have to be against Oscar De La Hoya because he’s the only one that would be competitive.
Jake Paul against Dana White. That’s a box office fight for sure – although I wouldn’t mind having a go at Jake Paul because I think that’d be a big payday for me
Leonard Ellerbe, he probably wants to knock me out but I’ll put him against Frank Warren. I fancy Ellerbe in that one.”
Hearn and Ellerbe have had a long-term public feud that recently spilled out into a war of words on Twitter, so it is perhaps surprising Eddie didn’t pit himself against the American – especially given he’s previously teased that the fight would be a 90/10 split in his favour.
As for Jake Paul, it’s unlikely he’s looking in the direction of fight promoters for his future opponents any time soon. The YouTuber will face UFC legend Andesron Silva on October 29th, in what many feel will be his toughest test in a boxing ring thus far.
