Eddie Hearn has warned that we could see a change in Anthony Joshua’s demeanour at the first press conference for his clash with New Zealand’s WBO world heavyweight champion, Joseph Parker.
Joseph Parker’s promoter David Higgins is currently in London, ironing out any lingering details of an impending agreement for a March 31st clash at The Principality Stadium.

Hearn shared that during his private conversations with the opposing promoter, Higgins has shared that they hold a firm belief that Parker has the beating of Joshua in his locker.
“I was bantering with David Higgins yesterday.”
“They truly believe they knock Anthony Joshua out. It’s not even in question for them,” Hearn told Sky Sports News.

“We feel otherwise. You’re going to see a lot of fireworks this press conference.”
In recent weeks, Parker has attempted to torment his potential adversary with a tirade of messages on social media.
Parker was trying to goad Joshua and improve the chances of him taking the bait thus making a lucrative payday for the New Zealander; additionally, Hearn shares his view that Joshua feels Parker went over the top with comments that he has a glass jaw.
By extension, Parker was trying to convey a message to boxing fans that he is a tougher specimen.
“David Higgins has got a lot to say for himself, he’s a funny character.”
Furthermore, Hearn added, “Anthony Joshua doesn’t like what Joseph Parker has been saying.”
Equally important is that Hearn believes we will see a change in Joshua’s typical obliging behaviour.
“This could be the first time we’ve seen the switch of Anthony Joshua, and I’m excited to see it.”

“AJ wants all the belts and Parker is the perfect fight, the perfect time.”
“It’s a great fight between two undefeated world heavyweight champions and we’re close now,” Hearn concluded.
