The reigning IBF world welterweight champion, Errol Spence was ESPN’s guest star on their show ‘First Take’ with Max Kellerman and Stephen A. Smith.
Errol Spence is back in the squared circle this weekend for the first time since disposing of Kell Brook in his hometown in May 2017.
He will look to make the first defence of that title against 2-weight world champion, Lamont Peterson at The Barclays Arena in New York.

But the topic of the conversation quickly shifted to what ‘The Truth’ thinks of the undefeated former 2-weight world champion, Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford who recently decided to relinquish his undisputed world welterweight title.
“That fight is gonna happen,” Spence said.
“Hopefully he beats Jeff Horn and gets that belt.”
Spence shared his point of view that he will do whatever it takes to become the undisputed world welterweight champion.
“Like I said, I wanna be the undisputed welterweight champion of the world.”
“So when he does get that belt, we can make it happen in the future.”
Additionally, Spence shared that he doesn’t take offence at Crawford’s recent comments detailing a belief that he has the beating of Spence.

Spence shares that is how a fighter is supposed to think and he would expect nothing less.
“That’s what he’s supposed to want,” Spence said. “He’s a fighter. I’m a fighter, too.”
“That’s what fighters are supposed to do. You’re supposed to want the top guys.”
“You’re supposed to want the guys with the belt.”
“I expect nothing less from Terence Crawford, but to want me.”
“I see Terence Crawford different at 140,” Spence said.
“I don’t know how he’s gonna do at 147.”
“[At] 147, it’s a different type of animal. We’re bigger, we’re faster, we’re stronger than a lot of guys at 140.”
“I don’t know how he’ll do at [147]. He hasn’t proven himself at 147.”

“Terence Crawford should out-box him and beat him,” Spence said.
“But Jeff Horn, he’s a rough, rugged fighter.”
“I mean, Jeff Horn always comes to fight. But I think Terence Crawford should win that fight.”
