βThere are fights that can capture a generation of fight fans, on February 17 in Manchester we have one,β said promoter Kalle Sauerland.
Sauerland added, βGroves vs Eubank will not only be one of the richest fights in UK history, it will be a fight and build up that will capture an entire nation. The Ali Trophy has made a sensational start across the globe but the largest indoor arena in Europe is a fitting stage for a fight that transcends the sport of boxing.β
The action is sure to make for an interesting watch.
Itβs the classic match-up in boxing history. A boxer-puncher in Groves, against a come forward swarmer in Eubank Jr.
The winner of this World Boxing Super Series semi-final; will go on to face the winner of the Callum Smith vs Juergen Braehmer match-up.
A date has yet to be announced for that match-up.

The bad blood between the fighters has been palpable. Both fighters are likely to carry all the lingering bitterness between them into the ring, which should make for a memorable fight.
