Exceed Boxing will come to Hamburg to make its German promotional debut on May 29 and 30, with the series Queen & King of the Ring at the open-air Active City Arena in St. Pauli. The two-day event follows a successful promotion last Summer in Utrecht, Holland, which helped launch boxing in the country alongside Dutch light heavyweight sensation Gradus Kraus and local promoter Angelo Rosalia.
Exceed Boxing’s format is quite different to what boxing fans are accustom to, with Olympic style boxing tournaments woking in unison with the professional scene. Over two evenings, two separate professional fight cards and an elite two-day Olympic-style boxing tournament run as one continuous show.
On the Friday, May 29, Turkish representative from Germany Serkay Comert headlines at middleweight. Comert (10-0, 8 KOs) comes off an early stoppage victory against Gyorgy Mizsei last week in Frankfurt. The undefeated contender had previously outpointed Yassin Hermi in a dominant display to claim the WBC international silver title in Hamburg.
Also on the card Ihor ‘The Ukrainian Hulk Shevadzutskyy returns to action after a points loss to double Olympic gold medalist Bakhodir Jalolov. Shevadzutskyy (12-3, 10 KOs) was the first man to take the heavyweight hopeful the distance since the Uzbek turned professional. A talented amateur with high expectations as a professional, the Hamburg based colossus returns with a view on having another stab with the elite in the division.

On Saturday, May 30, unbeaten German light heavyweight Hamza Salahudin will take center stage in the main event. Salahudin (15-0, 13 KOs) has been confirmed that he will fight for his first professional title. Details will be released in the coming days.
Alexander Chupil (16-0) will also join the card. The highly regard Hamburg product continues his march toward a title of his own. And Uzbek lightweight Khurshid Tojibaev will make an appearance. Prior to turning professional, Tojibaev (8-0, 4 KOs) has medaled at the World Championships, Asian Championships and Olympic Games, bringing some international pedigree to Queen & King of the Ring card.
DETAILS OF OLYMPIC-STYLE TOURNAMENT

Leonie Muller, multiple World Boxing Cup champion and European Silver medallist, contests the women’s light middleweight crown in one of the most compelling match-ups of the weekend. Nikita Putilov, multiple World Boxing Cup and European champion, leads the German charge in the super heavyweight category. Maxi Klotzer, Olympian and World Boxing Cup winner, enters the flyweight tournament as one of the most experienced German competitors at this level. And Magomed Schagidov, currently ranked #11 in the world, contests the King of the Ring title in men’s light middleweight, a category in which he has established himself as one of Europe’s most dangerous operators.
All four fighters face-off against elite international opposition picked from the top tier of Olympic-style boxing, which includes; world champions, European champions and Olympic medals winners.
The Queen and King of the Ring winners are crowned in each category with prize money on the line on the second night of the event.
