After announcing a change in trainer Albanian welterweight Florian Marku has now signed a long-term promotional deal with Boxxer.
As he embarks on a new period of his career the unbeaten 29-year-old will fight on Sky Sports and have new trainer Grant Smith from The Steel City Gym in Sheffield in his corner.
Based in London but born in Lushnje Marku has a fanatical army of supporters behind him and the fighter has frequently called out the likes of Conor Benn in the past. Ranked in the top 15 with the IBF the charismatic and confident welterweight is aiming to fight the best now he is part of Boxxer and Sky Sports.
“I’m delighted to sign an exclusive long-term deal with Boxxer. I want to give my fans what they want: the best fights on the biggest platform – and in Sky Sports we have that. I cannot wait to put on a show for all my fans all over the world. I am coming for everyone at 147 – watch this space.”
In 2021 Marku notched up three wins from three besting the challenges of Rylan Charlton, Maxim Prodan and Jorick Luisetto, respectively. Marku also picked up the IBF International welterweight title with his second victory over the year.
