Floyd Confirms This Is The Last Time – “Can’t Push My Body”

There has been a lot of talk about Floyd Mayweather Jr fighting again after Conor McGregor. Manny Pacquiao had hopes of a rematch and other fighters have contemplated the idea as well. But the man himself says this is truly it.

“I’m not the same fighter I was 21 years ago. I’m not the same fighter I was 10 years ago. I’m not even the same fighter I was two years ago,” Floyd admitted to a group of reporters in Los Angeles.

The fact of the matter seems to be that training camp is not what it used to be. His body is older, he’s been out for two years and father time has caught up.

“I spoke to Al [Haymon] and told him. Today we had a meeting. I can’t push my body, it’s gruelling. Training camp is gruelling. I can’t do it anymore. Training camp is rough. It has to be my last one,” commented Floyd.

Mayweather confirms it – this is the end of the line for good.

“After taking a couple of years off I was okay. But then we ended up somehow making this fight happen. Now I really know that this is it. Deep in my heart I know this is it.”
