When there is smoke there is fire.
Floyd Mayweather hinted and teased fans with multiple MMA related posts on his Instagram account recently. According to reports, the impossible might become possible and Mayweather could step inside the UFC Octagon and challenge Conor McGregor to a mixed martial arts bout.
The two fought earlier in August in a boxing ring with Mayweather winning via 10th round technical knockout. McGregor has been eager for a rematch ever since and he just might get it but this time on his own turf.

According to Jim White of TalkSPORT, rumours say talks have begun.
“My soundings are that there are a lot of talks going on in the background, there are a lot of talks around people with Mayweather,’ White said.
“There are a lot of talks about him potentially having an MMA fight with McGregor. McGregor had no chance in a boxing match with Mayweather.
“People will tune in to see Mayweather get stopped by Conor McGregor and it won’t affect his boxing record.
“I think it’s going to happen and I think it will be a three, four, five hundred million dollar fight again,” White said.
McGregor and Mayweather undoubtedly have an interested in repeating the massively hyped combat sports extravaganza that occurred last time. Reportedly Mayweather-McGregor made 6.7 million pay-per-view across the globe and one might think expectations from both sides is to break that number with a rematch.
Rumours about Floyd fighting in MMA first began when the former world champion said on his social media that he could make a billion dollars in the UFC.
“I can come right back to the UFC. If I want, I can go, I can come right back to the UFC, I can go fight in the Octagon. I can do a three or four fight deal in the Octagon and make a billion dollars,” said Floyd.

Later on, UFC commentator Joe Rogan revealed on his podcast that according to UFC President Dana White, ‘Money’ Mayweather wants to try his luck in the Octagon.
“Floyd talked about it, apparently. This is one thing I can tell you, Dana [White, UFC President] told me that Floyd wants to make a deal in the UFC,” said the commentator.
