Floyd Mayweather has shown that there are plenty of levels between the latest craze of YouTube boxing and the true elite of the sport.
As he readies himself for his latest exhibition, the 50-0 hall-of-famer shook off the cobwebs in the gym with YouTuber, Jarvis. The 21-year-old has dabbled in influencer boxing before, but that did nothing to prepare him for sparring an all time great.
As Mayweather got to work, he laughed, danced and taunted Jarvis – rhyming ‘I’m so cold, almost 50 years old’ and a sarcastically telling his opponent he had a ‘good jab’. Jarvis, unsurprisingly, couldn’t land a glove.

Despite the skill disparity, these are the sort of people Mayweather is used to facing nowadays. Since hanging up the gloves in 2017 marking two decades as a professional, he has been making incredible amounts of cash on the exhibition circuit.
His opponents have included YouTubers and MMA fighters, however he will next lace up against 1-0 pro boxer, Aaron Chalmers – best known for a stint on MTV’s Geordie Shore before his combat sports career took precedence.
Gracing London’s O2 Arena on Saturday February 25, it’s the first time Mayweather has boxed in the UK. Fans may be disappointed that it won’t be a competitive affair, but plenty will be sure to turn out to see the superstar regardless.
