Floyd Mayweather Hits Out At Manny Pacquiao Over Comments: “He Shouldn’t Have Said That”

Floyd Mayweather isn’t too happy with his old rival Manny Pacquiao and in light of some recent comments has stated ‘he shouldn’t have said that.’

Mayweather and Pacquiao are two of the biggest names in world boxing and two of the most accomplished fighters of their generation.

Both were pound-for-pound stars throughout their careers and of course in 2015 they came together for a long overdue but still much-anticipated fight.

The contest went to full 12 rounds and Mayweather put on a defensive masterclass that didn’t allow Pacquiao to get anywhere near him and ended up running out a wide winner on the cards.

It was one of the highest-grossing fights of all time and there has long since been discussion of a rematch as Paquaiuo claimed he had a shoulder in jury for the fight.

Now, speaking to The Pivot, Mayweather says Pacquiao should never have mentioned his name with regard to fighting again.

“When Manny Pacquiao spoke about that, he shouldn’t have. There is a time and a place for everything. I’m not saying he’s right, I’m not saying he’s wrong.”

‘Money’ then ribbed The Pacman and said the first fight was easy work for him,

“Just by him saying my name they gave me a cheque for four million dollars. He said my name when he wasn’t supposed to. He was in the wrong.

“I want you to check out Manny Pacquaio. He said I was using his name but remember he got famous cause they said he was the guy that could possibly dethrone the king. Did it happen? Absolutely not. What it easy? Absolutely.”

It seems Pacquiao is still keen to have one more fight and his trainer recently named a shock potential opponent.
