His opponent at the SSE Arena is tough Mexican Horacio Garcia who has a credible record of 33 wins in his 37 fights with 24 knockouts. He is also taller and younger than Frampton and has never been stopped, although he hasn’t campaigned near the lofty level of the two weight world champion, he nevertheless provides a sizeable test.
Frampton faces not just his opponent this weekend but also the immense pressure to perform in his home town where he has always had such amazing support, but for the first time in his excellent career he does so without his former manager and Irish boxing legend Barry McGuigan.
