Legendary British boxing promoter Frank Warren reckons Anthony Joshua is ‘fed up’ with his promoter Eddie Hearn’s ‘b******t.’
News emerged this week that former two-time and unified world champion Joshua has paid to seclude himself away in a dark room. It comes as talks continue between him and fellow former champion Deontay Wilder as to if and when the pair might finally meet in the ring.
Neither man has had a big year, with Wilder not fighting at all since he knocked out Robert Helenius in one round in October 2022, while Joshua bested the same man with an 8th-round knockout in August having gone the distance with Jermaine Franklin back in April.
Speaking to IFL TV, Warren was asked about Joshua and Fury.
“He was offered twice to be the main event with Tyson but it didn’t happen. I’m fed up talking about it.”
Warren then expressed pity for Joshua and took a dig at Hearn.
“I feel sorry for the guy.
For four days he’s had to be in a dark room, or wherever he’s gone. Do you know why that is? He’s probably fed up of listening to the b******t from his promoter.”
Top Rank chief Bob Arum then added further scorn.
“Nobody in the United States knows Joshua because the only time he fought in the United States, Andy Ruiz knocked him out.”
It’s fair to say Warren’s man Fury is riding high right now with a high-profile event with Francis Ngannou this weekend then a huge undisputed clash with Oleksandr Usyk after that.
