The Fury family is not happy with the IBF’s decision.
Tyson Fury’s trainer and uncle Peter Fury claims that the IBF has ‘bent the rules’ by granting Anthony Joshua his ‘special exception request’. The IBF made it official that they are allowing Joshua to skip mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev and face Wladimir Klitschko for the second time.
This also means that Joshua won’t be stripped of his IBF heavyweight championship. Tyson Fury and his people applied for the same ‘special exception’ when pursuing a rematch against Klitschko but it did not go through. Fury then refused to face IBF mandatory challenger Vyacheslav Glazkov and ‘The Gypsy King’ was stripped of his title.
Everyone's a know all on official rulings. We went through right channels 100%. Because we had a rematch clause they stripped#Rules bend 💰

Uncle Fury then later tweeted that Tyson is still the best heavyweight in boxing and will make a comeback once he settles his issues with U.K Anti-Doping Agency and British Boxing Board of Control.
