The wait is finally over…
After a two-and-a-half year exile, the former undisputed, undefeated heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury(25-0-0, 18 KO’s) returns to the ring at the Manchester arena on Saturday June 9th.
The good news is that he appears to be in very good health mentally and physically, and has worked hard to shift in excess of 7 stone from his massive 6 foot 9 frame.
This week his opponent was named as 39-year-old Albanian cruiserweight, Sefer Seferi, which to some skeptics in the British press is a bit of a let down for the man who claims to be world heavyweight number one.
The reality is, however much sparring you do, it does not prepare you fully for the big stage and the Fury camp are picking a perfect choice of opponent for his return to action.

A cruiserweight gives Fury a massive advantage in size, which is ideal if Seferi comes in fired-up looking to make a name for himself. This will be the underdog’s opportunity to gatecrash the heavyweight scenes at Tyson’s expense.
Seferi can punch, and has 21 knockout wins in 23 fights – albeit against modest opposition – so he commands respect: it only takes one punch to shatter dreams.
This is a huge step for Fury, who has stood atop of the boxing mountain and fallen from grace spectacularly. Every fight from now on in will be scrutinised meticulously by his critics, so it’s not just about winning, but how he wins and how he looks.
The good news for the many Fury fans is that Tyson Fury loves a stage, and a return to boxing in front of his home town fans is the perfect stage for ‘The Gypsy King’ to proclaim he is back to get what is truly his…. The heavyweight crown.
