In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Harlem Eubank revealed his future plans in professional boxing. Among them, a potential fight with Adam Azim in 2025 stands out. This Friday, November 22, Eubank will make his official debut in the welterweight division against Nurali Erdogan.
The bout between Eubank and Erdogan will take place at the Walker Activity Dome, Newcastle, United Kingdom.
Eubank and Azim previously came face-to-face in March of this year. Both fighters signed to compete, but Azim suffered an ankle injury.
This setback caused multiple postponements, leading Eubank to pursue other opportunities in his career.
However, the British fighter insists that a showdown with Adam Azim remains a concrete possibility.
During his interview with Sky Sports, Harlem Eubank discussed the prospects of a clash between him and Adam Azim in 2025.
“If the public wants to see them, I’m open to make the big fights,” Eubank stated.
“Between 140 and 147lbs, they’re the hottest divisions out there,” he added.
Previously, Eubank had made clear his interest in facing international figures such as Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia. Similarly, he has identified the champion Teófimo López as one of his potential rivals.
“There’s guys like Teofimo [Lopez], [Devin] Haney, the guys with the world titles over in America, the elite. They’re the guys we want to mix it with. If Adam’s up there as well, obviously we still want that fight,” Eubank affirmed.
Eubank also highlighted his preparation and motivation to compete against the best in the division. The boxer mentioned that he has already trained three times to face Azim in the past.
However, his current goal is to progress in the 147-pound division with an eye on earning a world title shot.
His bout against Erdogan will mark an important comeback, as Eubank has not fought in over a year.
This forced hiatus, according to the pugilist, has transformed his mindset and strengthened his desire for success.
Likewise, Eubank assured that he has refined his skills and feels ready for significant challenges.
This Friday, Harlem Eubank will aim to deliver a strong statement against Erdogan, positioning himself as a serious contender in the welterweight division.
The fight will be crucial in opening doors to major matchups in 2025, including the anticipated clash with Adam Azim.
