British boxer Harlem Eubank will debut in the welterweight division on Friday, November 22, 2024. His opponent will be French fighter Nurali Erdogan, and the match will take place at the Walker Activity Dome in Newcastle, UK. This bout will mark a milestone in Eubank’s career, as he seeks to establish himself as a serious contender in the division.
Originally, Eubank planned to face the talented Adam Azim. This fight was scheduled for June 2024 but was postponed due to an injury sustained by Azim.
With the cancellation of that match, Eubank has been forced to explore new options to continue his rise in professional boxing.
Despite the fight against Adam Azim not taking place, Harlem Eubank’s ambitions remain unchanged.
In a recent interview with Boxing Scene, the undefeated British boxer mentioned two of the biggest names in boxing: Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia.
Both fighters are top contenders in the super lightweight division, and Eubank has set his sights on them for the upcoming year.
“It’s about going in there and making a statement whoever it’s against and setting up them big fights,” Eubank stated.
“Obviously, the division is hot at 147lbs and 140lbs in America and domestically. We want all the big fights,” Eubank added.
In his statement, Eubank emphasized the importance of facing the big names in today’s boxing.
“The Garcias, the Haneys, the guys over there in America making noise. We want all those fights too,” Eubank said.
Furthermore, Eubank highlighted his aspirations to reach world title contention in the near future.
“We’re working towards world title contention, world title winners,” Eubank mentioned.
Finally, Eubank made it clear that his main goal is to take on fights that will bring him closer to the major figures in boxing and excite the public.
“We want the fights that push us closer to them. We’re open to all the big fights that get people excited in 2025. That’s what I’m looking forward to,” Eubank concluded.
With his upcoming welterweight debut, Eubank is focused on establishing himself as a serious opponent to challenge Ryan Garcia or Devin Haney in the future.
