David Haye finally issued a public statement yesterday on social media, following suffering a peculiar injury to his bicep in camp on Monday.
Haye apparently suffered the injury while doing sprints on the stairs, after losing his footing and trying to grab the bannister for safety, the injury to the bicep occurred.
The injury resulted in the postponement of the heavily anticipated rematch between David Haye and Tony Bellew. The bout was scheduled for December 17th at London’s 02 Arena.
“I am sure you are already aware that my much-anticipated rematch with Tony Bellew has been postponed,” said Haye.
“I have obviously got an injury in my left bicep and I had a procedure to repair it a couple of days ago. Doctors, my physio are very, very happy with how it went.

Haye also expressed gratitude to his loyal fans for sticking by him. “Thanks for the amazing support people have been sending my way. It really means a lot that you guys have got my back.”
“It has been a very challenging year for me but 2018 is when it is all going to happen,” Haye said ominously.
“Have a great Christmas. I am going to be working through my Christmas and I will see you next year;” Haye promised his fans.

Tony Bellew, plans have suffered an enormous setback and he has stressed the need to keep busy, while in the twilight stage of his career.
Furthermore, Bellew has also suggested he will not put his plans on hold to facilitate David Haye. Bellew has since voiced out about potentially taking a fight in the interim period.
However, two potential dates being mooted as the rescheduled date of Bellew – Haye II is March 24th and May 5th.
