Matchroom Director Eddie Hearn gave fans a number of updates on his fighters during an Instagram Q&A yesterday.
The 42-year-old was joined on the chat by some of his own stable who themselves were looking for news and fight dates with UK summer shows set to be announced.

- Usyk-Joshua 2 announcement is close but there has been a slight delay.
- Caoimhin Agyarko could be out in July and then fight on the rumoured Katie Taylor show at Croke Park. Hearn named Spike O’Sullivan as a potential opponent.
- Fabio Wardley will return on July 9.
- Hearn is eager to work with Dillian Whyte again and get him back in a big fight.
- Joe Cordina could fight Zelfa Barrett in a world title defence should the Welshman beat Kenchi Ogawa on Saturday.
- Josh Warrington will be out of action until October/November
- September 3 is being looked at for Conor Benn’s next fight date.
- Hearn wants to make Oscar Rivas v Alen Babic for WBC Bridgerweight title.
- He would “love to see” John Ryder v Billy Joe Saunders 2.
- Amanda Serrano and a number of opponents are in the running to face Katie Taylor next. Matchroom have been in talks with officials at Croke Park in Ireland to stage the event.
- Announcement of Matchroom’s first Australian show coming in a couple of weeks.
- “We would like to make the Bivol fight for the world title for Buatsi.”
- Expect news soon on a “big run” of UK shows.
- Leigh Wood v Leo Santa Cruz? Hearn says they’re waiting for official split from WBA.
- Callum Smith will fight on the Joshua-Usyk2 undercard.
- July 9 show announcement to come this week, will feature Dereck Chisora.
- Hearn believes we’ll see Joshua-Fury whatever happens, hopes for undisputed fight in December.
