Eddie Hearn has come out yet again in staunch criticism of Tyson Fury – and revealed Fury recently offered a December fight to Dereck Chisora.
Hearn, speaking to Behind The Gloves, was responding to yet another ultimatum issued by Tyson Fury, who posted a video earlier today saying he would give Joshua one more day to sign for December 3rd or Fury would look elsewhere.
“He’s offered the fight to Manuel Charr, he’s offered the fight to Dereck Chisora – yesterday I think. Then he rears his head today and says ‘okay, I’ll give you today’”
“It’s not going to get done today. I don’t know what else to tell you. We’re not even a million miles away, I don’t know if it’ll take 48 hours, 72 hours but it will get signed when it’s in the right place.”
Fury and Chisora exchanged words ringside after Joe Joyce’s 11th round knockout of Joseph Parker in Manchester, fuelling speculation amongst fans that a trilogy fight between the two could be back on the cards.
‘The Gypsy King’ defeated Chisora in comfortable fashion in both prior fights, and most fans were less than impressed when talk of a third fight first surfaced over the summer.
The boxing public has been left in state of confusion with regards to the current state of play of a potential fight between Fury and AJ, with Fury’s deadline of today coming less than 48 hours after promoter Frank Warren said the WBC world champion had decided to pull the plug on negotiations.
