American heavyweight, Jarrell Miller is clearly in no mood for building any sort of bridges with Anthony Joshua and his team, blasting the Brit in a recent interview.
‘Big Baby’ was just weeks out from fighting Joshua at Madison Square Garden back in 2019, however a failed drug test quickly saw him ruled out of the bout, with Andy Ruiz Jr being drafted in for the event instead.
And when asked by MenaceTube about talk of a December blockbuster between Joshua and Deontay Wilder, Miller claimed Joshua and his team were merely using his countryman’s name for “clout.”
AJ and Eddie Hearn call out and talk the most s*** but don’t fight nobody. AJ is using Deontay’s name right now for clout to keep his name relevant.
But we all know that AJ and Eddie Hearn don’t want nothing to do with Deontay, let’s get that 100% right. AJ wants no smoke! He don’t want no smoke with Tyson Fury
AJ man, keep your a** in Texas.”
Miller’s claims aside, indicators suggest that the plans for Joshua to face Wilder in Saudi Araba are actually progressing well with both sides seemingly confident the blockbuster will indeed take place.
Skill Challenge Entertainment are keen to stage the historic cross Atlantic clash on the same night as an undisputed fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, though have stated they are happy to proceed with either one of the historic contests without the other.
If both fights do end up occurring on the same card in the oil rich kingdom, the cumulative purses would almost certainly by the greatest in the history of boxing.
