The current reigning heavyweight king of boxing will get his biggest payday to date against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev on October 28th in Cardiff.
Anthony Joshua will defend his IBF, IBO, and WBA titles against the Bulgarian in front of a packed 74 000 Principality stadium. The event will most likely sell out with Joshua headlining the anticipated event.
Pulev will get the biggest purse of his career, an estimated £4 million. It is reported that he will donate half of his purse to charity.
As for Joshua, he will get the much larger sum.
‘AJ’ will take home a staggering £15 million.
Even though he just fought Wladimir Klitschko in front of a sold-out Wembley Stadium last April, his fight against the mandatory challenger will pay him more.
The 27-year old Joshua has won all of his 19 professional fights by way of knockout. Pulev, 36, has a record of 25 wins and one loss.
