The rematch is official and former IBF World super middleweight titlist James DeGale will take on current champion Caleb Truax in the rematch.
The fight will take place on April 7th at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
DeGale went through a shocking loss against Truax back in December when the American managed to get the upset victory over ‘Chunky’ in front of DeGale’s fans in London.
After hearing the judges scorecards, DeGale admitted that he had rushed his comeback following the shoulder surgery and put on a poor performance against the unknown challenger.

DeGale is seeking some serious payback in Las Vegas and promises that the ‘real JD will be back on fight night.’
βIβm happy to have the opportunity to rematch Truax and regain my IBF title. I am not going to make excuses for my poor performance, actions speak louder than words. I am excited to be boxing in Vegas and on Showtime again.
“The real JD will be back on fight night!” said DeGale according to Boxing News.

According to Truax, he’s had an extensive training camp this time around and promises to be in ‘great shape’ come fight night.
“I feel great, now that the fight is officially on the books! In boxing a lot of times, fights get pushed back and strung along.
“Usually, I have six to eight weeks to prepare for a fight. But this time, I have had three to four months. After winning the belt, Iβve had more time to prepare, and I set a different type of training schedule.
“Iβm in great shape and will be in great shape,” wrote Truax.
For DeGale, the Londoner is set to step into the ring on US soil for the fourth time as he looks to become a two-time IBF World super middleweight champion on April 7.
The show will be headlined by a super welterweight world title fight between IBO & WBA Super titleholder Erislandy Lara and IBF champion Jarrett Hurd.
