Heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller has been in the headlines over the last month, first for his heated clash with Daniel Dubois and then again when he was arrested shortly after his return to the United States.
Now, ‘Big Baby’ has broken his silence and spoken out for the first time since that ‘unfortunate ordeal.’
Miller suffered a first career defeat when he was stopped in the final seconds of his grudge match with Dubois in Saudi Arabia, which as a result has seen him well out of the heavyweight title picture.
Just days after he flew back to the States, Miller was arrested for carjacking and burglary with assault at a car dealership in Florida, allegedly stealing a Dodge pickup truck that had recently been repossessed.
Five days on and Miller has now taken to social media to speak of his confidence of a ‘favourable resolution’ to the ongoing case.
“GOD is good. GOD is great!
First and foremost. THANK YOU SINCERELY to my family, team, friends and countless supporters from around the world who have relentlessly lifted me in prayer since this unfortunate ordeal began.
GOD gives the toughest battles to HIS strongest soldiers. Also, extending a VERY special thanks to my trailblazing attorney John Weekes who says after the facts are revealed, we are ALL confident, he will be vindicated.
I am prayerful and look forward to a favourable resolution of this case. PRAISE BE TO ALLAH!!”
Although Miller currently has more important things to worry about, his loss to Dubois has seen him drop from #6 to #11 in the WBA rankings, and, with a history of failed drugs test in the past, his fellow contenders are unlikely to be itching to give him the opportunity to progress much higher.
