Jeff Horn will bid to make the second defence of his WBO world welterweight title in exactly a month’s time.
It is quite a sizable task that stands in front of the Australian, consensus pound-for-pound number one and former 2-weight world champion, Terence Crawford stands between Horn and successfully making that second defence.

Many are expecting Crawford to in one way or another secure the victory and claim his third world title.
Sizing up the task ahead of him, Horn acknowledged it will not be easy. But, Horn argued that vice versa and says the Omaha fighter will have never seen an opponent like him.
“Terence is a great fighter, great counter-fighter, he’s fast and powerful, but he hasn’t fought anyone like me before and I think I’ve got what it takes to win,”
“It’s a big fight and with big fights come big rewards, and Terence Crawford is definitely a mountain to climb,” Horn said.
“Me and Terence are exactly the same age now, in our thirties, in our prime and I think it’s going to be a cracking fight.”
Many have raised their eyebrows at Horn’s plans to only come to the U.S 10 days out from the fight. Many feel that doesn’t afford the Australian much time to acclimitise to the desert atmosphere of Las Vegas.
“A lot of people say that’s too short but I think I’ve got a lot of time to acclimatise and get ready,”
“I’m world champion now and I need the world to take notice,” he said.
Additionally, Horn also delved into his plans to possibly secure an early retirement after ‘three or four fights’
“If I keep winning and keep having these big fights against these massive names in the sport I could retire in probably three or four fights.”
“Of course we’re here as Queenslanders to back Jeff as he heads from Brisvegas to Las Vegas on April 14.”
