In the lead up to the biggest fight of his career, Jermaine Franklin has vowed to knock Dillian Whyte out when the two clash on 26th November.
In fact, he’s even shared the exact shot that he will do it with. Franklin took to Twitter on Wednesday to share how he believes the fight will end.
“Here is my Dillian Whyte uppercut for November 26. Catching body #22.”

The tweet was attached with a clip of Franklin hitting Rydell Booker with an uppercut when the two fought in 2019.
The ‘989 Assassin’ is of course referring to Whyte’s vulnerability to the uppercut, with all three of his career defeats to Anthony Joshua, Alexander Povetkin and Tyson Fury stemming from that shot.
The pair meet next Saturday at Wembley Arena on DAZN. Whyte, who has world-level pedigree, rightly goes into the bout a heavy favourite. Franklin will be fighting at a level that he’s never been at before, with a unanimous decision victory over Jerry Forrest his biggest win to date.
He’s also not long come off a long spell of inactivity. His fight against Rodney Moore in May in Indiana was his first after an almost three year layoff.
There is extra motivation for the two in this fight, as Eddie Hearn has stated it’s highly likely that the winner will be Anthony Joshua’s next opponent.
‘AJ’ is looking to return in March as he starts his comeback trail following his rematch defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in August in Saudi Arabia. As previously mentioned, Whyte has already lost to Joshua when the pair fought for the British title in December 2015 at the O2 Arena.
