Two of the top middleweights in world boxing, interim WBC middleweight champion and former IBF jr-middleweight world champion, Jermall Charlo came face to face with the former WBA world middleweight champion, Danny Jacobs on Saturday night.
They were both in Jacobs’ native Brooklyn, New York for the WBC world heavyweight title clash between Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz.

During their heated discussion, both men sized each other up for the first time ahead of what could be a scintillating middleweight fight.
“We don’t need to go back and forth,” Jacobs said.
“I just wanna make it clear. I’m hearing people saying you said, ‘Pull up.’ What pull up mean? I don’t know what that means.
“This is why I’m confused. Because you know my rap sheet. You know what I’m about. I’m gonna see you;” Jacobs said.
Charlo and Jacobs shook hands before Jacobs walked away from the escalating situation between their camps.
“You know what I’m about,” Charlo said. “You know. You know it. You know it. You know it.”

Charlo took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to address their exchange. Jermall argued he feels Jacobs staged his performance in front of the camera and behaved differently when the cameras were not on.
“The sh*t was a whole act,” Charlo wrote in a Tweet. “They tell us to stay calm and professional then this mf walk up talkin sh*t.
“Once it go sour they say we don’t have class.”
“If Jacobs wanna fight, let’s fight,” Charlo said before Jacobs arrived late Saturday night.
“Let’s skip this Centeno fight. You ain’t gotta take yo next fight, either. They think my opponent is whatever he is, and they think his opponent is whatever.
Let’s skip that sh*t. Let’s get to the bad.
“Ain’t nobody gonna be walkin’ around with my name in they mouth. I’m about that sh*t. You wanna fight, let’s fight. … I’ll go to HBO, I’ll go to the UK. I’ll say, ‘Eddie Hearns, what up?’ I got the best manager in the world. They gonna make that sh*t happen.
“Trust me. I’m with it. I’m don’t matter. I’m with it. We both Al Haymon.”
“Whatever. Man, I’m not here to discuss another man. It’s about me.”
