Jermall Charlo is preparing to make his return to the ring on March 3rd in a co-feature alongside Deontay Wilder’s world heavyweight title fight against Luis Ortiz.
Jermall will challenge for the interim WBC world middleweight title against Hugo Centeno Jr.
The former IBF jr-middleweight world champion is seeking to solidify his position as the mandatory challenger to Gennady Golovkin’s WBC title.
Charlo had a warning to share for Golovkin.

“When [Golovkin] go to sleep at night, he knows the pressure is on him,” Charlo said during a conference call Thursday. “He know that there’s a young, hungry and 160-pound fierce dog out there.
Golovkin’s trainer, Abel Sanchez recently commented that perhaps Charlo is not ready for Golovkin yet.
Charlo dismissed those words and he has not taken any notice of those comments.
“That’s me. I’m out here. I don’t care about Abel Sanchez. He ain’t the one getting in there taking punches for Golovkin.”
“So he can’t say sh*t about me. He doesn’t know me until he comes to Houston and find out what I’m about.”
“I don’t give a sh*t what they do,” Charlo said.
“I’m ready. I’m ready to wait and I’m ready to put everything on the line.”

“Hopefully, they’ll get a chance to settle this fight and move on, and I’ll be right there waiting.”
“Hopefully I can catch the eyes of those Canelo fans and those GGG fans that I’m here,” Charlo said.
“I’m ready for this action and I’m ready for this level.”
“Hopefully, you know, after my hand is raised on March 3rd, you all will get a chance to see what I’m really made of.”
Charlo also had some words of warning for his March 3rd opponent, Hugo Centeno and threatened to unveil another display of his destructive punching power.
“I don’t give a sh*t what he did. I don’t care if he improved, how many miles he ran.”

“I don’t care what trainer he switched to, it doesn’t matter.”
“Whenever I get in the ring, they’re gonna see what I’m really made of and what I really come to do.”
“I’ve been working my ass off since they didn’t give me no credit for the Heiland fight. I’m the best 160-pounder out there.”
“They’re not gonna give me the credit until I keep whopping they ass, and that’s what I’m here to do.”
