Joe Joyce is in a rebuilding phase of his career and though he has recently called out fellow Brit Dillian Whyte, his manager has shared some concerns over that potential match-up between two rivals.
Joyce was on a fine run of form that saw him beat the likes of fellow world-level contenders Joseph Parker – himself a former world champion – as well as young rising star Daniel Dubois.
The pair went into an immediate rematch which saw Joyce put down for only the second time in his career and stopped for a second consecutive fight. He has since had his first return bout when he defeated Kaash Ali and is now on the hunt for big names once more.
Adam Morallee has been speaking about the match-up with Whyte to Seconds Out and says he doesn’t know whether it can happen in the UK.
“We love that fight, we think it’s a great fight for both fighters. I was speaking briefly to Dillian Whyte’s manager about it. I think the situation about Dillian’s ability to fight in the UK is unclear.
“If he can brilliant, if he can’t he can’t. That’s a terrific fight for Joe right now, just the fight we’re looking for, a good fight for both men.”
