The outspoken John Fury has given his opinion on the upcoming fight between Daniel Dubois and Jarrell Miller.
This coming together of two big men is one of several heavyweight clashes on the much anticipated Day of Reckoning card in Saudi Arabia on December 23.
It is Dubois’s first fight since his ninth-round stoppage loss to Oleksandr Usyk back in August in Poland. The 26-year-old has also lost to Joe Joyce, and now heads right back into a tough fight with Miller.
The American is a controversial figure, infamous for having failed drugs tests in the days leading up to his proposed fight with Anthony Joshua at Madison Square Garden in June 2019.
This is by far Miller’s biggest fight to date and heavyweight prospect Frazer Clarke thinks it is one that will be too much for him to overcome. However, speaking to Boxing Social, the father of WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson focused on the Brit.
“Daniel Dubois, a good kid, but his heart is questionable. He’s quit in two fights. That for me is a no-go area.”
He then assessed Miller, who has had three low-level wins since returning from a two-year ban.
“Miller, talented kid, fast hands, big guy. They’re so close you know. If Dubois’ balls were a bit bigger I’d say Dubois, but they’re not.
Pushed for a prediction, he sided with the American, just.
“I’m going to say Miller. He’s an unbeaten kid. He can put them together and I don’t think Daniel likes being hit too much does he? But a good kid, he can bang himself, he could knock Miller out cold with one shot, he’s got the power, but I’ll go Miller I think, the other one’s proved to be a bit of a quitter. “
