Jonas and Harper’s Team Go Back And Forth As Undisputed Offer Made

Natasha Jonas and Terri Harper have been embroiled in a heated back-and-forth on social media this week – with some scathing comments coming from the Liverpudlian.

Jonas defeated Marie Eve Dicaire this past weekend to claim her third world title at 154lbs in less than a calendar year, leaving Harper’s WBA crown the last piece of the undisputed puzzle.

Although the all British fight seems like a natural one to make, it appears things will not quite be so straight forward.

Harper’s trainer / manager Stefy Bull took to Twitter this week to announce that a six figure offer had been made to Jonas for an undisputed clash.

However, Jonas seemed less than impressed by the offer or particularly keen for a rematch with Harper, who she controversially lost to back in 2020 when the pair fought at super-featherweight.

Jonas then went on to demand drug testing, most likely a cheeky nod to Harper’s recent jump up in weight.

Since picking up her third world title last weekend, Jonas has called for mega fights with the likes of Claressa Shields, Jessica McCaskill and Katie Taylor to name a few, but hasn’t been as vocal regarding a potential undisputed showdown with old foe Harper.

Whether promoter politics could be overcome is another issue, with Jonas now signed to Sky / Boxxer and Harper to Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom.

Jonas’ split from Matchroom last year was less than amicable, so that may be an obstacle in the making of a fight between her and Harper.
