Joseph Parker Questions Joshua’s Will To Fight Due To Alleged Offer – “Less Than Half Of What You Paid Charles Martin”

If what Joseph Parker indicates is true, no wonder his side have ‘given up’ on negotiating a unification world heavyweight title fight against Anthony Joshua.

There have been several reports headlined by Parker’s promoter David Higgins who claimed that Eddie Hearn made an ‘insulting’ offer to the WBO champion. Talks about an 80-20 split have been denied by Hearn but nonetheless, Parker is unhappy.

“I got this weird email from Eddie’s email address, but he must have been hacked. He made the most ridiculously low offer. It could have been the most insulting offer in boxing history,” said Higgins to Sky Sports.

“We have got several fights on the table and I tell you this, we have pretty much given up on Joshua. Assuming someone hacked his email, I apologise to Eddie, and he’s welcome to give me a call. He’s got my number if he wants to actually make a respectable offer,”

Hours ago Joseph Parker went on Twitter and revealed more details about the alleged deal but Hearn was quick to reply and deny Parker’s claims once again.

In 2016 Joshua fought against then IBF World heavyweight champion Charles Martin. The American won the title in a fight where his opponent, the defending champion Vyacheslav Glazkov, suffered a leg injury during the fight and could not continue thus crowning Martin the new titleholder.

According to reports, which have not been officially confirmed, Martin got paid around £3-5 million for the fight against Joshua who won by knockout in the second round.

Hearn replied back that Parker’s is ‘incorrect’.

Last week Parker went after Joshua on Twitter and got a message back from the Brit.

Since his win over Hughie Fury in September, the Kiwi boxer has been vocal about getting the big fights in 2018. The good thing for Parker is; he’s got something that Joshua wants.

Eventually, the two will meet unquestionably if all goes according to plan on Joshua’s side with Deontay Wilder. Right now the American world champion is most likely getting the first crack at the WBA, IBF & IBO heavyweight kingpin.
