According to worldboxingnews.com, the IBF will announce their decision regarding the ‘special exception request’ put forward by Anthony Joshua and promoter Eddie Hearn.
If the IBF says yes, then mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev will have to wait and Wladimir Klitschko will officially face Joshua first. It assumed that this is why the Ukrainian has not given his answer yet regarding the rematch.
“The Board will consider the exception request during the convention next week and determine what actions the IBF will take as soon as a decision has been made. “We expect to make an announcement on Anthony Joshua by Tuesday or Wednesday,” said the IBF.
