The Anthony Joshua Show is heading back to Cardiff, Wales.
Joshua will defend his WBA Super, IBF & IBO titles against the challenger Joseph Parker who will put his WBO World heavyweight belt on the line in a big unification bout. According to The Sun and the Daily Maily, the Principality Stadium in Cardiff will host the fight.
Meaning Joshua will fight in Cardiff again for the second time inside the same venue where he defeated Carlos Takam via TKO back in October and retained his titles.
The two tabloids also confirmed the date for the fight.
According to reports, Joshua-Parker will in fact happen on March 31st as expected.
The fight will be broadcasted by Sky Sports in the UK and American audiences will be able to watch it live on Showtime.
It’s expected that an official announcement will be made this week – possibly on Thursday.
There are several reports about how much money is on the line for both fighters. The two sides argued and negotiated over the split for months until they finally came to an agreement. It has been reported that Parker’s share is around 33-35 per cent and Joshua gets the rest.
In terms of pure numbers, Joshua will receive the lion’s share in millions.
Reportedly Joshua will make around £13-15 million and Parker will take home approximately £7 million.
In 2017 Joshua fought twice against Wladimir Klitschko and Takam. With the victories, he raised his stock and became the most popular heavyweight boxer in the sport.
Parker defended his title on two occasions with his latest win coming against Hughie Fury back in September in Manchester via majority decision.
The Kiwi will return to the UK for the second time in March but in this instance, he will be involved in the biggest fight of his career against Joshua on enemy territory.
