Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker went at it verbally face to face during the latest Gloves Are Off on Sky Sports.
It wasn’t the most heated discussion but they spoke with bad intentions whilst looking at each other eye to eye.
When asked about weaknesses, Joshua didn’t go into detail but promised to ‘punish’ Parker.
“I’ve never fought him [Parker] so I couldn’t say, I’m gonna just punish him with every jab, every right hand, every hook. I’m gonna punish him,” said Joshua.
The Kiwi gave a more insightful answer and said the words ‘glass chin’ in front of Joshua.

“His [Joshua] weaknesses, I’m going to expose them come fight night. His weaknesses are that he doesn’t move as well as I do. The way to beat him would be speed and movement. I don’t think he can catch me.
“I see he has a glass chin because he’s been down,” explained Parker.
Parker and his team, mainly promoter David Higgins and trainer Kevin Barry, made public claims about Joshua’s chin and durability in the ring. They held a press conference in New Zealand during which they released and showed to the media a video compilation of Joshua getting dropped or rocked in the ring.
Parker still stands by it because his team’s actions brought them leverage during the negotiations
“I do stand by what they said and how they’ve handled the situation because if we didn’t do some of those things we wouldn’t be sitting here today,” told the WBO World heavyweight champion.
Needless to say, Joshua wasn’t happy about it and does not respect the tactics used by Parker’s team.
“I didn’t really respect it. Some talk about it, some be about it and that’s why we’re here. If it’s a PR stunt, I can’t respect that,” said Joshua.
The current WBA Super, IBF and IBO World heavyweight champion has been aware of Parker for a long time. Joshua says he’s been following Parker’s career since 2010.
“I’ve watched him. Documentaries, I’ve watched him since I was an amateur. I know him. It gets complicated in boxing, I don’t know who’s serious and who’s not anymore. That’s why I don’t listen to half of the stuff that’s being said but now he’s here and it’s real. I’ve watched him since 2010, I’ve kept a close eye on him since then.
“His background, his inheritance, He’s solid because where his family’s come from. That’s something you can’t take away. It’s clash of the Titans. ‘AJ’ against ‘JP’, let’s rock n roll,” declared the Brit.
