Keyshawn Davis Predicts Winner of Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. Manny Pacquiao 2

Former WBO lightweight world champion Keyshawn Davis is the latest star to give his opinion on the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao rematch scheduled for September 19 at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

The two legends collide more than eleven years on from their first encounter, where Mayweather Jr. (50-0, 27 KOs) claimed a unanimous decision victory at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“It’s a legendary fight,” Davis told FightHype. “I feel like it’s going to be a different fight now that they’re at two different ages. They both retired for a long time, and I think it’s going to be a different fight.”

Mayweather Jr. would have been away from competitive action for over nine years when he returns. His last professional contest came against MMA superstar Conor McGregor, who was making his professional boxing debut. Mayweather claimed a 10th-round stoppage at 154 pounds.

“Floyd, for sure, because he already won the first time,” Davis added. “You only as good as your last performance, you know what I’m saying? Last performance Floyd won.”

Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KOs) returned to professional action last year in a WBC welterweight title fight against Mario Barrios that ended in a majority draw. Many believe Pacquiao was unfortunate not to get the nod in his first fight in nearly four years.

Mayweather Jr is due to have an exhibition bout with former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson. A date of April 25 has been reported, but it appears there will be some further movement on the date and venue of the contest. The 49 year old has since announced another exhibition against Greek kickboxer, Mike Zambidis, to take place in Athens on June 27.
