‘King’ Lyndon Arthur plans to rule the domestic 175lbs division after his fight with Dec Spelman at the BT Sport studios in Stratford, London, on July 31.
The Commonwealth champion is already lining up the likes of Anthony Yarde and Joshua Buatsi, assuming he negotiates a potentially tough test with the spirited Spelman on Friday. Mancunian Arthur was originally set to meet Yarde in April before the Covid-19 Pandemic halted the boxing schedule.
“Forget Yarde and Buatsi,” said Arthur (16-0, 12 KOs). “By the end of the year, I’ll be the guy you’re all talking about.”
“Friday, it’ll be the same old story. I’ll beat him down and I’ll knock him out. Easy work.
“I keep hearing people say this is my hardest fight but I’m going to make it look like my easiest. Dec Spelman has never been hit as hard as he will be on Friday night.
“Dec’s a good fighter but he doesn’t belong in the ring with me.”
