British Youtuber Olajide Olatunji, better known as KSI weighed in on the upcoming bout between unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua on the DAZN Boxing Show.
“I hate to say it but I think Usyk [wins]. He’s had too many amateur fights [and] his experience is just too much. His ability to adapt during a fight is just too good.”
Although KSI supports Joshua and wants him to win, he believes that Joshua will not be able to overcome what Usyk brings to the ring. He cited Usyk’s fight with Derek Chisora and emphasized how Usyk was able to pull off the victory despite Chisora’s swarming style.
In spite of believing that Usyk will emerge victorious, KSI does believe that if Joshua adopts a particular style, he will be able to get the win over Usyk.
“I think AJ needs to come through scrapping. I think he needs to come in with intent and will. He needs to put it on Usyk, kinda like how Fury did in the last fight with Wilder.”
“Give him no space. Don’t let him dance around you. I think he kinda just let Usyk get too many angles on him.”
KSI’s words echo what some fans believe to be Joshua’s path to victory be aggressive early on and secure a knockout victory.
Usyk and Joshua face each other at the King Abdullah Sports City Arena on Saturday for the unified heavyweight world titles.
KSI takes on Swarmz at the O2 Arena a week later on August 27.
