WBO 122lbs champion Angelo Leo (20-0, 9 KOs) will defend his crown against No.1 contender Stephen Fulton (18-0, 8 KOs) at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, on January 23.
The duo were supposed to meet for the vacant WBO belt in early August until Fulton contracted Covid-19 shortly before the bout.
Tramaine Williams was drafted in as a late replacement before Mayweather Promotions fighter Leo earned a clear points decision.
Belfast’s Michael Conlan, the WBO’s NO.2 contender, is likely to meet the Leo-Fulton winner later in 2021.
On January 23, the co-main event pits Las Vegas-based Raeese Aleem (17-0, 11 KOs) and Californian Vic Pasillas (16-0, 9 KOs) in a scheduled 12-rounder at 122lbs.
In other action, Las Vegas’ WBA interim lightweight champion Rolando Romero (12-0, 10 KOs) meets Houston’s Justin Pauldo (14-1, 7 KOs).
